DarbyTech recently exhibited at the Big Apprenticeship Event hosted by Hartlepool College of Further Education, supporting activities taking place during National Apprenticeship Week.
The event brought together more than 70 businesses from across the region, all aiming to connect with students and showcase the wide range of career opportunities available through apprenticeships. Employers, educators and industry professionals attended to provide advice, demonstrate technologies and speak with young people about potential career pathways. DarbyTech attended the event alongside partners JBA Engineering, highlighting the exciting possibilities within the engineering sector and the growing demand for skilled professionals. Throughout the day, the team spoke with students about the many routes into engineering careers, explaining how apprenticeships allow individuals to gain hands-on experience while earning and developing industry-recognised qualifications. The event also gave students the chance to learn more about emerging sectors such as clean energy, robotics and digital engineering. DarbyTech said events like the Big Apprenticeship Event play an important role in helping students understand the opportunities available to them and in connecting local talent with regional employers. By engaging directly with students and showcasing the technologies shaping modern industry, DarbyTech hopes to encourage more young people to consider engineering as a rewarding and impactful career choice.
