What is a Wellbore?
A wellbore is a drilled hole that allows access to natural resources like oil, gas, and water. Wellbores are used in a variety of applications, including energy production, waste disposal, and environmental site assessment. 


Our Demonstrator:
The Well-Bore Demonstrator is a valuable tool for training process operators and providing students with a practical learning tool that demonstrates the basic principles of operation.

​It is designed to replicate many of the hydraulic conditions encountered in drilling operations. These conditions are produced in a replica well-bore manufactured from industrial clear PVC that allows students to observe the flow patterns. The demonstrator is capable of replicating many of the flows encountered in a drilling and production operation.

Equipment Specification and Process Highlights:

• Process water flow rate is controlled with a flow meter and a manual control valve
• Cooling water flow is controlled with a PID controller and a control valve based on the process outlet temperature
• Inlet and outlet water temperature measurement
• Reverse flow valve to change tube-side flow direction.
• Complete unit mounted on a utility size carts for ease of movement and storage
• Available in all world voltages/frequencies (customer to specify electrical power available on-site)

Utility requirements:

• Hot and cold potable water – normal flow up to 10 l/min. (cold only with closed loop option)
• Electrical power: Open flow single-phase power 120VAC 60Hv or 240VAC 50 Hz
• Closed loop 3-phase equivalent to the above Load approx. 9 kW
• Instrument air with pneumatic control valve option
